GAN ISRAEL DAY CAMP RUSSIAN DIVISION
The Chabad Russian Day Camp has been lauded by individuals and news media alike, for its success in acculturating refugee children to the american experience. The camp provides the children with a strong Jewish identity, through its extensive cultural programs while simultaneously giving the campers the experiences common to all children in our society (such as Disneyland and Universal Studios). Most unique is the multi-lingual program, combining their native Russian with the English language essential to their very existence as Americans. At the same time they receive instruction in primary Hebrew to acquaint them with their heritage as Jews. The impact has been phenomenal and has proven efficacious in the creation of their new identity, American Jews.

Русский Дневной Лагерь Хабад удостоился похвал как граждан, так и средств массовой информации за его успехи в приобщении детей беженцев к американскому опыту. Лагерь прививает детям сильную еврейскую идентичность через свои обширные культурные программы, одновременно обеспечивая их опытом, обычным для всех детей нашего общества ( типа Диснейлэнда и Универсальных Студий). Самой уникальной является многоязычная программа, комбинирующая их родной русский с английским и являющаяся существенной основой для их жизни как американцев. В то же самое время они получают инструкцию на базовом иврите, чтобы познакомить их с их еврейским наследием. Воздействие было феноменально и оказалось эффективным в создании их новой идентичности, американских евреев.
